UD Assessment Network

The UD Assessment Network is an informal group of faculty and staff at the university who have a shared interest in the assessment of learning. Many members have formal responsibilities for coordinating or leading assessment in their unit, especially those in accredited programs. The network is convened by CTAL staff who lead meetings where attendees share information with one another and provide ongoing support and professional development.

To join the network and access its resources, please contact Kevin R. Guidry, CTAL Associate Director of Educational Assessment, at krguidry@udel.edu.

Confidentiality in the network

The UD Assessment Network is intended to be a place where faculty and staff who engage in assessment can connect and share with one another. That requires an atmosphere of trust and collegiality. During meetings of the network, we ask that attendees take notes as appropriate and learn from one another but also respect that colleagues may share confidential or embarassing information about themselves or their units.

The network also has a shared Google Drive folder where resources and meeting agendas/notes are shared. The folder is only accessible to members of the network.

2024-2025 Meetings

In 2024-2025, six meetings are scheduled. They will all be held using Zoom. Some meetings will focus on broad topics that are of interest to faculty and staff across the university with special invitations extended to colleagues in Student Life who have an interest in assessment. Some meetings will focus specifically on topics of interest primarily to faculty and staff who work in degree-granting programs. And some of the topics of some meetings have not yet been established, holding them open for topics that will be suggested by network members or emerge organically throughout the semester.

The dates and times for each meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year are listed below. UD faculty and staff with an interest in assessment are welcome to register for any or all of these meetings! Please register for each meeting by clicking on it.
