CTAL Director Search

In the fall of 2018, UD’s Center for Teaching & Assessment of Learning (CTAL) began searching for a new director.  The job advertisement specified that applications would be reviewed beginning in October.  The search committee reviewed applications and conducted Zoom interviews with several candidates.  The committee recommended that 3 candidates be brought to campus for in-person interviews.  Information about each of these candidates is listed below, including the date, time, and location of their public workshop.

For their on-campus workshop, each candidate was provided with this prompt: “Deliver a 45-minute workshop designed for faculty that addresses the following question: What can faculty do to positively impact student retention and graduation, in view of the evolving demographics of UD’s student population? Please identify 1) the specific faculty group for whom your workshop is intended (e.g., new faculty, STEM faculty, directors of undergraduate studies), and 2) the specific student group it would target (e.g., international students, undergraduate STEM majors, students in large enrollment classes).”

All UD faculty, staff, and students are invited to view these candidates’ materials, attend their workshops, and provide feedback to the search committee.
