UD Strategic Plan: Path to Prominence

The Path to Prominence sets forth a number of desired initiatives designed to increase our students’ capacities for engagement and learning. Among these are meaningful and stimulating experiences through general education (GE), first year experience (FYE), discovery learning (DLE), service learning, international study, and discovery research at the graduate level. These initiatives are meant to provide a total educational experience that is impactful, innovative, and intellectually challenging. The activities of the Office of Educational Assessment are designed to: measure the impact of academic programs and initiatives upon student engagement and learning; engage faculty, administrators, and students in the active design and measurement of academic and academic support programs; and design processes that motivate all members of the university community to employ the results of assessment for continuous programmatic improvement.
